GRiDCase 1520

A lovely 80286 portable computer, available with either gas plasma or LCD displays.

I've got three of these: one with the orange plasma screen, and two with the EL-backlit LCD display.

Components

• FE3500 chipset
  • FE3000A CPU Controller
  • FE3010B Peripheral Control Device
  • FE3020 Address Buffer
  • FE3030 Data Buffer
• Keyboard controller: appears to be an Intel 8041 compatible pinout with GRiD-specific PROM code for the power-saving features. Pin 22 connects to the FE3020 address buffer chip; possibly A20 gate control. 8042 datasheet has the pinout.
